How much is Chelsea paying Mudryk for his time away from football?
Mykhailo Mudryk, the Ukrainian winger for London’s Chelsea, continues to receive his full salary despite his prolonged suspension from professional soccer following a positive doping test.
Even without playing for a year and a half, the player’s financial situation remains stable thanks to his current contract with the English club.
According to the analytical publication “GiveMeSport,” the 25-year-old footballer’s weekly salary is approximately 100,000 pounds sterling.
Converted to the national currency, this amount is approximately 6 million hryvnias for seven days out of action.
The London club is demonstrating loyalty to its player by paying his full salary, despite the inability to field the winger in official matches.
The suspension has not affected the terms of the base contract, allowing the Ukrainian to maintain a high level of income during the forced hiatus.
Compared to the team’s leaders, Mudryk’s income appears average, as Chelsea’s top players earn twice as much.
“Chelsea’s top players receive twice as much—about £200,000 a week, which is the maximum salary level at the club,” journalists note.
Reece James, Moises Caicedo, and Wesley Fofana currently receive the highest salaries within the Blues’ structure.
Meanwhile, the team’s star striker, Cole Palmer, earns significantly less than the defensive leaders—approximately 130,000 pounds per week.
