In Washington, United States, D.C. United head coach René Weiler highly praised Israeli forward Tai Baribo after a 0-0 home draw with Atlanta United. The coach said that the striker is an important player for the team, although he was unable to score in this match.

14 goals this season

According to the Jerusalem Post, Baribo has scored 14 goals this season and is D.C. United's top scorer. Four of his goals were match-winners, and the footballer also converted all three penalties he took.

Weiler called Baribo a scorer who makes use of even a limited number of scoring chances. The coach noted that the Israeli forward's scoring ability is known to both his team and opponents, adding that he is pleased to have the player at D.C. United.
