Israeli basketball club Hapoel Jerusalem defeated Bnei Herzliya 88:68. Kenny Lofton Jr. scored 17 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and made six assists in the game.

As the Jerusalem Post reports, the team coached by Sasa Obradovic displayed organized offensive play and ball movement. The outlet notes that Lofton also initiated attacks by bringing the ball up the court himself.

The 24-year-old Lofton previously played in the NBA and the Chinese CBA. In China, he won the CBA championship and cup, received the league’s Most Valuable Player award and took part in the All-Star Game. Obradovic called the basketball player potentially the most talented player at this position among those he has coached.

Hapoel’s roster also includes Shake Milton, Devonte Keokok, Jalin Smith, David Roddy and Lorenzo Brown. Club owner Matan Adelson provided financial support for the team, which has EuroLeague ambitions.

Jared Harper’s injury

Jared Harper will miss several months due to an injury to his right thumb. He is expected to be able to return to the court at the beginning of 2027. Harper was named EuroCup MVP twice in a row and also received the Most Valuable Player title in the Israeli championship.
