Wilder has agreed to a fight with Usyk
Former world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has stated that he is ready to face Oleksandr Usyk in a bout that could be the Ukrainian’s final fight.
The American boxer called Usyk one of the best fighters of his generation and emphasized that this is exactly the kind of opponent he wants to face.
“He’s one of the best boxers of his era. He’s exactly the opponent I need to achieve what I want to achieve. It could happen—and it will happen. As long as I have confidence in myself and in what I need to do, it will happen. I have to finish what I set out to do at the very beginning of my career,” Wilder said.
Usyk has relinquished all his titles.
The promoter named Usyk’s opponent for his farewell fight.
