Video: A bear visited the home of Russian biathletes twice in Sochi
During a training camp for Russian female biathletes in Krasnaya Polyana, a bear made its way into their cottage. The animal first entered the entryway and later returned; its second appearance was captured on video.
The incident occurred during the training camp. The biathletes are staying in cottages in the Krasnaya Polyana area, where encounters with wild animals are not uncommon.
Russian biathlon champion Inna Tereshchenko said that the bear initially entered the house’s vestibule. After a while, the animal left the area but returned shortly thereafter.
It was during this second visit that the athlete managed to turn on the camera. The released footage shows the bear approaching the house and sticking its snout through the slightly ajar door. Upon seeing a person inside, the predator decided not to take any chances and moved away from the entrance.
After that, the bear left the cottage grounds.
As a reminder, Latvia lost to Switzerland 1–3 in volleyball and will face Turkey next.
