Viktor Dökéresh set a scoring record in the Nations League
Swedish national team forward Viktor Djokeres set a new Nations League scoring record. The forward has scored in six consecutive matches in the tournament.
On October 2, Sweden drew 1–1 with Bosnia and Herzegovina. Dökérš scored Sweden’s only goal in the 61st minute.
Thus, the 28-year-old forward became the first player in the history of the Nations League to score in six consecutive matches.
In the current campaign, Dökér has also scored against Romania and Poland. His streak began last season with goals in matches against Estonia, Slovakia, and Azerbaijan. In the match against Azerbaijan, the Swede scored four goals.
After three rounds, Sweden leads its Group B with seven points. Next are Bosnia and Herzegovina with 5, Poland with 4, and Romania with 0.
