Inna Kochubey has been named head coach of the Ukrainian women's national basketball team

Inna Kochubei has been appointed head coach of the Ukrainian women's national basketball team.

The decision was made by the executive committee of the Ukrainian Basketball Federation.

She replaces Yevhen Murzin in this position. Anna Shlykova and Olena Ogorodnikova have been named as the new head coach’s assistants.

Kochubei has played 53 games for the Ukrainian national team and is among the team’s leaders in terms of games played and points scored. She also served as the team’s captain.

The coach has been working with Ukraine’s national teams since 2015, first as a scout and, since 2019, as an assistant head coach.

The Ukrainian women’s national team will play its next matches in November as part of the second qualifying round for EuroBasket 2027, where it will face France, Great Britain, and Luxembourg.
