PCs sold without RAM due to memory shortages
The American company Paradox Customs has started offering ready-made personal computers without installed RAM modules due to shortages and high prices of memory components. This strategy helps to avoid supply delays and allows customers to install their preferred memory sticks themselves.
This new option in the Paradox Customs configurator shifts responsibility to buyers for compatibility of the selected memory and proper BIOS configuration, which might complicate the initial setup process. However, it also enables more personalized system configurations.
Looking ahead, if supply issues persist, other PC manufacturers might follow suit by providing similar options to reduce costs and maintain hardware availability.
