Bug in MacOS causes internet disconnection after 49 days of continuous use

A bug in Apple's MacOS has been discovered that causes internet connectivity to fail after 49 days and 17 hours of continuous operation, forcing users to reboot their MacBooks or other Macs at least once every 50 days.

The issue arises because MacOS tracks all internet connections made by various applications but stops removing information about old connections due to the bug. As a result, new connection slots get blocked, leading to a loss of internet access.

Server hardware, such as the Mac Mini, is particularly vulnerable to this issue, as achieving uptime beyond 50 days is virtually impossible under these conditions.

Addressing this bug is crucial for Apple, given the importance of long-term stability for server equipment used by many users and organizations.

Developers are expected to fix this issue in upcoming MacOS updates, enabling devices to maintain stable internet connectivity for extended periods without requiring frequent reboots.
