A new drone detector with an extended range was unveiled in Ukraine

BlueBird Tech has developed an updated drone detector, the “Chuyka 4.0,” which features an additional module for enhanced area scanning. The device is also equipped with a larger battery for longer battery life.

It is noted that the new countermeasure system will operate not only in the standard frequency bands—1.2 GHz, 3.3 GHz, and 5.8 GHz. The Ukrainian-made device will also be able to detect enemy drones in a higher frequency range—6,100–8,600 MHz.

Chuyka 4.0” also features an upgraded housing, an additional battery, and a fourth antenna. The new generation will scan the entire frequency range in 4–8 seconds, operate for up to 6 hours on a single charge with the additional battery, and up to 2 hours without it.

“Chuyka 4.0” streams video from the intercepted drone signal to a color display. The new drone detector has already successfully passed combat testing. The company’s press service states that the price of the new RER device is 39,900 hryvnias.
