Google is developing "Camera Looks" photo editing modes for the Pixel 11

Google is set to add the Camera Looks suite of tools to its Pixel 11 series smartphones, giving users more control over the look of their photos. The new modes will alter image processing at the sensor level, rather than simply applying corrections to the finished photo, according to The Verge.

Isaac Reynolds, head of the Pixel camera team, noted that user preferences for mobile photography are becoming increasingly diverse. Some people want their photos to be as optimized as possible, while others prefer shots they consider more authentic or traditional.

Camera Looks will resemble filters in appearance. Among the modes, The Verge mentions Black Tie, Classic, and Digi. The name “Digi” references the trend of buying inexpensive digital cameras in the early 2000s.

At the same time, these modes will differ from standard filters, which typically edit photos after the initial processing. According to Reynolds, the new system will cover the entire image processing workflow.
