Google has integrated Quick Share with AirDrop to make it easier to transfer files between Android and iPhone

Google has enhanced its Quick Share service by adding support for AirDrop, allowing Android users to more easily share files and photos with iPhone owners. This new functionality is initially available for the Pixel 10 line and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and macOS. The company said that it plans to further expand support for other Android devices.

For now, Quick Share can work with AirDrop if an iPhone owner sets their device to "Everyone for 10 minutes" mode, which allows Pixel users to see the iPhone. Google notes that this is the first step toward seamless cross-platform data sharing, and the company intends to work with Apple to implement Contacts Only mode.

Users with iPhones can also transfer files to Pixel devices, allowing two-way communication. The connection is made directly, without going through servers, which increases the level of data security. Google assures that this is just one way to improve compatibility between different operating systems, which is an important request among users.
