How to Check for Suspicious Sessions in ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity
ChatGPT and Claude users can view their active sessions and end any suspicious ones if they suspect unauthorized access to their account. Perplexity does not display a list of devices that are currently logged in, but it does allow users to log out of all sessions at once. This was reported by TechCrunch.
In ChatGPT, the list of sessions is accessible via the profile menu in the browser: “Settings” — “Security and Login” — “Active Sessions.” The service displays the devices on which the account is logged in. You can disconnect an unknown device individually or end all sessions at once.
To change your ChatGPT password, you must first log out of your account. On the login page, enter your email address, select “Reset Password,” and follow the prompts. The service will send a six-digit code to your email; after entering it, you can set a new password.

In Claude, active sessions are located in the “Settings” > “Account” section. Next to an unrecognized session, you can open the menu with three dots and select “Log Out” or “Force Close.” You can also log out of all devices. Claude does not use passwords: the Anthropic chatbot sends a login link to the user’s email.
In Perplexity, if you suspect unauthorized access, open “All Settings,” select “Log Out of All Sessions,” and confirm the action. To log in again, the service sends a unique six-digit code to your email or offers a login button in the email.
TechCrunch recommends using unique passwords stored in a password manager and enabling multi-factor authentication. This feature is available in ChatGPT and Perplexity.
