MrBeast became the first YouTuber in history to reach 500 million subscribers

Jimmy Donaldson, known as MrBeast, made YouTube history by becoming the first creator to surpass 500 million subscribers. This record-breaking milestone for the platform occurred on June 12, 2026, cementing the 28-year-old blogger’s status as the most influential figure in digital entertainment. 

MrBeast’s success is based on a model of viral philanthropy and the constant reinvestment of profits, which is why, according to the blogger in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, his personal capital is concentrated exclusively in corporate assets. 

The Beast Industries business empire, which includes the analytics service ViewStats and the former food delivery brand MrBeast Burger, is currently valued at over $5 billion. In addition to creating large-scale shows, the blogger is actively involved in charity work, implementing major environmental projects such as #TeamTrees, #TeamSeas, and #TeamWater to help those in need and save the environment.

This was revealed during an official livestream, in which Donaldson modestly watched his first videos and reflected on his path to success.

U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren demanded an explanation after the famous YouTuber MrBeast purchased the fintech app Step, which is aimed at a teenage audience. She is concerned about potential plans to introduce cryptocurrencies and decentralized finance (DeFi), as the app previously provided minors with access to Bitcoin, tokens, and NFTs.

The prediction platform Kalshi first disclosed information about insider trading: one of the incidents involves an employee of the most popular YouTube blogger, MrBeast, who placed bets on outcomes related to the blogger’s videos using non-public data.
