Nvidia expects to double chip sales next year — Anadolu Agency

U.S. company Nvidia expects to sell twice as many chips next year as it does this year, its CEO Jensen Huang said ahead of an artificial intelligence summit in Scotland, United Kingdom. This was reported by Anadolu Agency.

Demand for artificial intelligence technologies

According to Huang, the forecast is linked to growing investment in artificial intelligence across various industries and countries. He noted that in countries where Nvidia is present, people are seeking to invest in AI because of its potential benefits for different industries and economies.

Nvidia does not disclose the total number of chips sold. Its best-known products include Blackwell and Rubin data center graphics processing units, which are used to develop and operate advanced artificial intelligence systems. Last year, Huang said that the company had shipped 6 million Blackwell graphics processing units over four quarters.

Revenue forecast and AI safety

Nvidia also forecast revenue growth of 70% in the fiscal year ending in January 2028. The company estimates that its annual revenue could reach about $673 billion.

In addition to graphics processing units, Nvidia produces central processing units, network switches, chips for optical networks, laptop processors, Jetson systems for robots and vehicles, as well as a processor for the Nintendo Switch 2 console. At the summit, Huang discussed AI safety with representatives of Google DeepMind, OpenAI and Anthropic. He said that an unsafe product should not be released and should instead continue to be improved.
