AI has left thousands of employees out of work: Zuckerberg admits to Meta's mistakes

Meta has undergone a major restructuring due to advancements in artificial intelligence, resulting in thousands of employees losing their jobs.

CEO Mark Zuckerberg acknowledged that mistakes were made during the transformation and stated that management is committed to providing greater stability for employees.

As part of the restructuring, Meta cut about 10% of its global workforce. At the same time, approximately 7,000 employees were reassigned to new roles related to artificial intelligence and automation.

Zuckerberg promised that the company does not plan any new large-scale layoffs by the end of the year, though he acknowledged that further changes will depend on market conditions and technological developments.

According to him, Meta will continue to actively invest in artificial intelligence and will strive to find new roles for employees whose job functions are changing due to automation.
