TechCrunch opens applications for Side Events at Disrupt 2026

TechCrunch is accepting applications to host Side Events as part of the TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 conference, which will take place in San Francisco on October 13–15. Applications to organize an additional event can be submitted until September 4, TechCrunch reports.

Events will take place on October 10–16

Program participants will be able to hold their own in-person events in the San Francisco Bay Area from October 10 to 16. Approved events will be added to the official Side Events calendar and promoted to Disrupt attendees and other TechCrunch audiences through marketing channels.

According to TechCrunch, Disrupt 2026 will bring together more than 10,000 innovators, startup founders, investors, and industry representatives. Hosting a Side Event gives organizers an opportunity to showcase their brand and connect with potential partners, investors, and employees.

Side Events terms and formats

Among examples of formats that have been successfully used at previous Disrupt events, TechCrunch lists industry roundtables, venture investor office hours, themed workshops, informal networking events, and intimate dinners. The event must be open to both Disrupt participants and the wider public.

Before applying, organizers need to select a venue in the San Francisco Bay Area and prepare an event title and description. TechCrunch recommends holding events in the evenings of October 13–15, when, according to the organizers’ assessment, competition for attention is lower. Applying and participating in the program are free of charge. Priority will be given to initiatives that offer meaningful value to founders, investors, and the startup community.
