The Game Band has launched a daily word-guessing game called Dartwords
The developer of Blaseball—The Game Band studio—has launched a daily online word-guessing game called Dartwords. Each day, players are challenged to guess a hidden word in ten attempts, according to The Verge.
At the start of the game, users receive no clues and can enter any word. After each attempt, a character named Darty—styled after the Clippy assistant—provides a clue based on the entered word. For example, he might say that the target word refers to something larger or something created by humans.

Each attempt is also accompanied by a dart thrown at a target on the screen: the closer the answer is to the correct word, the closer the dart lands to the center. Sam Rosenthal, Creative Director at The Game Band, explained that the team aimed to make the game more conversational than other daily word puzzles.
According to Rosenthal, the idea for Dartwords came from children’s word games played on the road or with family, including variations of “20 Questions” and the alphabet game. The developer wanted to explore the format of casual games that had previously been difficult to recreate digitally.
