The Turkish company Baykar has unveiled its new long-range kamikaze UAV, the MIZRAK

The Turkish company Baykar has unveiled its new long-range kamikaze UAV, the MIZRAK

The new system is capable of striking targets at ranges exceeding 1,000 km and carrying a warhead weighing up to 40 kg. The system is also available in a version equipped with a homing head for destroying radars and radiation sources.

Baykar reported this on its official page on X.

A key feature of the drone is its resistance to electronic warfare (EW) measures thanks to a navigation system that uses artificial intelligence and optical terrain mapping. MIZRAK is integrated into a shared network with the company’s other drones, such as the Bayraktar TB2 and AKINCI, from which it can receive target designations. The drone has a wingspan of 4 meters and can remain airborne for up to 7 hours at altitudes of up to 3,000 meters.

Its technical specifications allow it to maintain a speed of 185 km/h even under GPS signal jamming, which is critical in modern warfare, particularly in the conflict with Russia. The use of inertial guidance combined with visual correction ensures high precision in striking targets. Baykar continues to expand its line of autonomous systems, drawing on experience with aviation operations in areas of active electronic warfare.

Turkey has demonstrated a new domestically produced munition, the TOLUN, designed to strike fortified and hard-to-reach targets. During testing, it penetrated a concrete shelter and destroyed the target inside.

Baykar plans to deliver the first two Kizilelma unmanned fighter jets to the Turkish Armed Forces as early as the first quarter of this year.
