An announcement has appeared on a data leak forum claiming that 340 million user records from the OnlyFans platform are for sale. However, the authenticity of this information has not yet been officially confirmed.
The specialized publication Cybernews reported on the possible leak.
According to the attackers, they managed to gain access to the service’s internal database. They claim to be selling information on both regular users and content creators.
The alleged dataset reportedly contains:
usernames;
email addresses;
account registration dates;
linked profiles;
account activity data.
At the same time, the OnlyFans platform has not officially confirmed the data breach.
Cybernews journalists examined a sample of the database that the hackers included in their announcement. They found only 10 records containing user IDs, names, email addresses, and registration profiles. Some of the other fields in the file were empty.
There is currently no confirmation that the attackers actually possess the full database they claim to have in their post.
Earlier in the UK, Reform UK local councilor Stephen Mousdell resigned just one week after winning the election. The reason was a scandal surrounding his participation in adult films and content on the OnlyFans platform.
The number of court rulings in favor of OnlyFans content creators who are challenging fines and additional charges from the State Tax Service is growing.
