MyOffice, the Russian equivalent of Microsoft Office, is laying off employees en masse
The Russian developer of the "MyOffice" office software suite—the company "New Cloud Technologies" (NCT)—has begun a large-scale round of layoffs, completely shutting down certain departments.
Company management has already sent employees an official notice regarding the upcoming layoffs.
The developer’s administration plans to carry out a radical restructuring and retain only a minimal number of staff.
According to one of the publication’s sources, “the plan is to retain only technical support staff and lay off the rest.”
Another source confirmed to the publication that “many departments have indeed been almost entirely affected by the cuts.”
The organization “MyOffice” is a well-known Russian developer of office software and collaboration platforms, and its legal entity is “New Cloud Technologies” LLC.
The company was founded in 2013 and for a long time actively promoted itself on the market as a domestic alternative to the American “Microsoft Office” suite.
More than two-thirds of the company’s shares are owned by Kaspersky Lab, which was added to the list of official shareholders in 2019.
