TEKNOFEST aviation and technology festival begins in Türkiye — Anadolu Agency

The regional stage of the TEKNOFEST aviation, space and technology festival opened in Türkiye's Şanlıurfa province on September 30. The event will run until October 4 and bring together technology enthusiasts, young investors and visitors, Anadolu Agency reports.

Competitions and air shows

As part of TEKNOFEST Southeast, finals of technology competitions in 14 categories, exhibitions and demonstration programs will be held. Organizers also announced air shows featuring representatives of the aviation and defense industries, the SoloTurk and Turkish Stars aerobatic teams, and fighter jets.

The festival will showcase Turkish Aerospace Industries platforms — Atak, Hurkus and Anka — as well as Baykar Bayraktar TB2, TB3 and Akinci drones. Visitors will also be presented with ground and naval equipment.

Program for visitors

On the first day, a parachute jump, a Bayraktar Akinci demonstration flight, a paramotor demonstration flight and a science show are scheduled. The program also includes a flyover by a TAI Atak helicopter, a demonstration performance by the Turkish Gendarmerie's Steel Wings aerobatic team, and a demonstration of the Bayraktar TB3.

Concerts, stage performances, educational workshops, simulator zones, a planetarium, exhibitions and special activities for students dedicated to their first flight have been prepared for guests. Admission is free with prior online registration. The festival grounds will be open from 09:00 to 19:00 local time, and free public transportation will also be available.
