China’s maglev platform hits 700 km/h in just 2 seconds
Engineers at China’s PLA Rocket Force University of Engineering in Changsha, Hunan Province, successfully accelerated a test electromagnetic levitation platform to 700 km/h in only two seconds, setting a new world record for such technology.

The tests were conducted on a 400-meter track, with the platform weighing over one tonne. The results also confirmed precise braking ability. Scientists have been developing the project for ten years, with the previous record being 648 km/h.
In the future, these systems may be used not only in ground transportation but also in the aerospace sector, for example, to achieve accelerated rocket launches.
