The United Kingdom may ban Elon Musk’s social network X because of the AI chatbot Grok. The formal reason cited is the chatbot generating explicit images of women and children upon user requests, raising significant ethical and safety concerns.
Tests revealed that AI tools like ChatGPT also create pictures of people in bikinis without their consent. Nevertheless, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s project is not at risk. A more plausible reason for the ban involves Starmer’s low popularity on Musk’s platform. Starmer is more concerned about AI-generated images than popular memes featuring naked young white women promoted by Republican groups across Britain.
