Thunderstorms and squalls are expected to hit parts of Ukraine on May 13
Forecasters have issued a warning about dangerous weather conditions in several regions of Ukraine on May 13. A Level I (yellow) weather advisory has been issued due to the inclement weather.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
According to the forecast, thunderstorms and gusts of wind reaching 15–20 m/s are expected during the day in the central regions, excluding Vinnytsia, as well as in the southern regions.
“Weather conditions may disrupt the operations of energy, construction, and utility companies, as well as traffic,” the Hydrometeorological Center emphasized.
Meteorologists urge residents of these regions to be cautious during bad weather and to avoid staying near trees, advertising structures, and power lines.
On Wednesday, May 13, the weather in Kyiv will deteriorate sharply—rain, a drop in temperature, and stronger winds are forecast for the capital.
Unstable and rainy weather is expected in Ukraine on May 13. Forecasters predict precipitation across nearly the entire country, with thunderstorms, heavy rain, and gusty winds in some regions.
In several regions of Ukraine, forecasters have warned of deteriorating weather expected during the day on May 8. This applies most to the western regions, as well as the Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions, where thunderstorms are forecast.
In the coming days, weather conditions in Ukraine will change—short-lived rains, thunderstorms in some areas, and a gradual drop in air temperature are expected in most regions.
