On May 13, the weather in Kyiv will take a sharp turn for the worse
On Wednesday, May 13, a significant deterioration in weather conditions is expected in the Ukrainian capital.
Forecasters predict heavy rain and a drop in air temperature of 5 degrees.
Throughout the day, temperatures in Kyiv will range from +12° to +15°. The sky will be mostly overcast, and the city will be hit by heavy downpours.
The situation will be exacerbated by stronger winds, with gusts reaching 12 m/s.
This will make it feel even cooler for residents and visitors to the capital. Atmospheric pressure will remain significantly low—at 735 mm Hg.
In general, cloudy weather with periodic clearings will be observed throughout Ukraine.
In the western regions, particularly in Lviv, Lutsk, Rivne, and Ternopil, temperatures will drop to +6°C at night and rise to +17°C during the day.
A similar weather pattern is forecast for Khmelnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Chernivtsi. In Uzhhorod, in addition to cloudiness, rain is also expected with identical temperatures—ranging from +6° to +17°.
The central and southern regions will be in the path of a thunderstorm front. In Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Kropyvnytskyi, and Poltava, temperatures will reach up to +21°, but the day will be accompanied by rain and thunderstorms.
Coastal cities will also experience inclement weather: in Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson, nighttime temperatures are forecast at +11° and daytime temperatures at +21°. In these regions, May 13 will be cloudy with some sunny intervals, and rain is expected, which will occasionally turn into thunderstorms.
In the east of the country, the weather will be slightly warmer but also unstable. In Kharkiv, daytime temperatures will reach 23°C, and in Severodonetsk, the air will warm up to 24°C, though precipitation is also forecast here.
Residents of Crimea should also prepare for wet weather. In Simferopol on Wednesday, it will be cloudy with some sunny intervals, with temperatures ranging from +11° to +20°; rain and thunderstorms are possible.
