After the court hearing, Yermak assured everyone that he had no plans to flee Ukraine

Andriy Yermak, the former head of the Office of the President, called the charges brought against him by NABU and the SAPO unfounded and stated his readiness to defend his reputation in court. The former official emphasized that he has no intention of leaving Ukraine and plans to focus on his law practice and volunteering to assist the military.

This was reported in a post by the former official on Telegram.

The case concerns the legalization of 460 million hryvnias during the construction of luxury real estate near Kyiv. Yermak, who has over 30 years of experience as a lawyer, emphasized that he will act strictly within the law and is open to all procedural actions. He also stated that in recent months he has observed unprecedented pressure on law enforcement agencies aimed at bringing charges against him.

Among his future plans, the former head of the Presidential Office highlighted trips to the front lines to address the requests of defenders, as well as support for those released from captivity and their families. Currently, he and his team of lawyers are continuing to review the case materials ahead of upcoming court hearings.

During the High Anti-Corruption Court hearing, a prosecutor from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office stated that there is a risk that former Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak could abscond from the investigation.

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office stated that it would ask the court to impose a preventive measure on former Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak in the form of detention, with the alternative of posting bail in the amount of 180 million hryvnias.

Former Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak attributes the charges brought against him to “public pressure on law enforcement agencies” to adopt specific procedural decisions regarding him.
