Hot weather with rain and thunderstorms will continue in Ukraine on June 30
On Tuesday, June 30, partly cloudy skies are expected across Ukraine. Short-lived showers and thunderstorms are possible in some regions, while hot weather will persist in most parts of the country.
At night in the eastern regions and during the day in the southern part, there will be brief showers and thunderstorms in some areas; during the day in Zakarpattia and Prykarpattia, there will be brief showers and thunderstorms, with hail and squalls of 15–20 m/s in some areas; with no precipitation elsewhere. Winds will be from the north and northeast at 5–10 m/s. Temperatures will range from 18–23° at night to 29–34° during the day; the western and southwestern parts of the country will experience intense heat of 35–38°, while in the eastern regions, temperatures will range from 15–20° at night to 24–29° during the day.
On Tuesday, Kyiv will see partly cloudy skies. No precipitation. Winds will be from the north at 5–10 m/s. Temperatures across the region will range from 18–23° at night to 29–34° during the day; in Kyiv, they will range from 21–23° at night to 31–33° during the day, according to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
On Monday, June 29, dry weather with light cloud cover and no precipitation will persist across Ukraine. According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center’s forecast, winds will be variable in direction at speeds of 3–8 m/s.
The abnormal heatwave in Europe has led to at least 18 deaths.
