Airbus will test its technologies in Ukraine

The Ukrainian defense cluster Brave1 has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Airbus Defence and Space—one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of space, defense, and security technologies. This marks Brave1’s first strategic partnership with a major Western defense corporation and the launch of a new international initiative, Brave Prime.

Under the memorandum, the parties will establish joint working groups to develop and improve modern defense technologies.

The collaboration will cover the entire innovation cycle—from fundamental research to the modernization of existing solutions.

One of the key areas of cooperation will be the integration of Airbus Defence and Space technologies into the “Test in Ukraine” program.

Under this program, new developments will undergo intensive testing directly in combat conditions. Test results will be evaluated jointly with the Ukrainian military.

The data obtained on the technologies’ effectiveness will be promptly shared with the developers, allowing them to quickly refine solutions in line with modern battlefield requirements and safety standards.

Brave1 notes that the signed memorandum marks the first step in the new international initiative Brave Prime, which aims to integrate the world’s leading defense companies into Ukraine’s military innovation ecosystem.

In addition to technological cooperation, Airbus Defence and Space will become a strategic partner of the Defence Tech Valley summit, which will take place in Lviv.

This event is considered one of Europe’s largest defense and technology events and is expected to bring together representatives of the international defense industry, Ukrainian manufacturers, and military officials.

Brave1 emphasizes that the collaboration with Airbus confirms the company’s status as one of Ukraine’s key European partners in the development of defense innovations and modern military technologies.

This was reported by the Brave1 press office.

As a reminder, the German federal government is considering joining Ukraine’s Brave1 defense innovation program and deepening its long-term partnership in the defense industry.

Over the past six months, the Ukrainian military has ordered 240,000 drones using combat points through the Brave1 Market marketplace.
