The partial discharge of soldiers from service will begin in the fall, pursuant to presidential decrees

The process of partially discharging Ukrainian military personnel who have served in the army for a long time is set to begin in late fall of this year, based on decrees issued by the head of state. According to Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, such a decree will take precedence over the contracts signed by service members, allowing for the discharge of personnel regardless of the term of their agreements.

To determine the order of discharge, the General Staff will use two main criteria: the total number of days of service and the length of time spent in combat positions.

The process will take place monthly for a certain number of service members, though the exact numbers will depend on the situation on the battlefield and the likelihood of Russia announcing additional mobilization. The Ministry of Defense plans to create a special calculator based on data from the General Staff, which will allow each servicemember to independently check which phase and month of discharge they fall under.

This was reported by TSN.

A digital mechanism for the return of servicemembers who have left their units without authorization has been launched in Ukraine via the “Army+” app, which allows them to complete the procedure without unnecessary bureaucracy and immediately select a new unit. The Ministry of Defense says the system is intended to expedite the return of motivated service members to the most effective units of the Defense Forces.

Zelenskyy announced an increase in pay for service members: infantrymen will receive 300,000 UAH.
