The parents of the chief prosecutor of the Ternopil region own luxury properties in Kyiv, Lviv, and Ternopil
The parents of Vitaliy Panchenko, the chief prosecutor of the Ternopil region, own a number of high-value properties in Kyiv, Lviv, and Ternopil.
Analysts at the Anti-Corruption Center investigated the financial assets of the official’s close relatives.
Experts note that the parents’ official incomes do not in any way correspond to the actual value of the luxury properties they have purchased.
According to the published data, the mother of the regional prosecutor invested significant funds in a nearly 100-square-meter apartment in the capital back in 2018.
The following year, she purchased another apartment, measuring nearly 90 square meters, in a prestigious neighborhood of Lviv.
The official value of this apartment in western Ukraine at the time of purchase was nearly 1.5 million hryvnias.
A new wave of lavish purchases was recorded at the beginning of this year.
In February 2024, the prosecutor’s mother was gifted a 62-square-meter apartment in Ternopil itself, as well as a separate non-residential space at the same address.
The estimated market value of such a property, fully renovated to modern standards, is currently about 82 thousand dollars.
Vitaliy Panchenko, the head of the Ternopil Regional Prosecutor’s Office, has also previously been noted for property transactions involving state resources.
The official successfully privatized a large official apartment in the village of Sofiivska Borshchahivka, located just outside Kyiv. In addition, in his official declaration, the prosecutor listed another residential property within the capital.
This was reported by the Center for Political and Legal Reforms (CPLR).
