A man was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of three people, including a 13-year-old boy
A court sentenced a 59-year-old man to life in prison after finding him guilty of murdering three people. Among the victims was a 13-year-old boy. The man was also found guilty of robbery, illegal possession of a firearm, and the illegal manufacture of a firearm.
According to the prosecutor’s office, in August 2022, he premeditated an attack on an acquaintance’s home. For several weeks, the man surveilled the property, studied the residents’ routines, and prepared for the crime. He enlisted his 26-year-old son to help with the attack; the son drove him to the house and waited in the car.
The armed assailant broke into the house, where the homeowner’s 13-year-old stepson was present. He shot the boy, and after the child fell to his knees, he stabbed him seven more times. The boy died at the scene from his injuries.
During the subsequent investigation, law enforcement determined that the man was also involved in two other murders. In March 2020, he killed his own brother, then dismembered the body, hid the parts in bags, and dumped them in a body of water. Later, the man forged documents, took possession of the victim’s apartment, and sold it.
Another murder took place in April 2022. Due to a hostile relationship, the man killed the former head of a garage cooperative by inflicting numerous stab wounds on him. He hid the body in the basement of an abandoned garage.
During the trial, the defendant admitted only partial guilt. The court agreed with the prosecutors’ position and sentenced him to the most severe punishment—life imprisonment.
His 26-year-old son also received a separate sentence. For his participation in the robbery and illegal possession of a weapon, the court sentenced him to 15 years in prison.
