Four officials were fined for concealing millions in assets on their financial disclosure forms
In Ukraine, courts found four officials guilty of providing false information in their 2024 financial disclosure statements and imposed fines on them based on evidence from the National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NAZK).
Among those punished were a forest ranger’s assistant from Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, who concealed over 1.3 million hryvnias, a member of the Medical Examination Commission from Sumy, who failed to declare approximately 1.9 million hryvnias, as well as members of the Rozhyshche and Svitlovodsk city councils, who failed to declare 948,000 hryvnias and over 1.04 million hryvnias, respectively.
In addition, the NACP forwarded materials to the National Police regarding a juror from Khmelnytskyi for concealing over 948,000 UAH, as well as regarding a member of the Dubrivka Village Council in Zhytomyr Oblast, whose declarations for 2024 and 2025 revealed violations totaling over 39.67 million UAH and 39.19 million UAH, respectively.

In June 2026, Ukrainian courts held a number of officials accountable for making false declarations. Among them were the chair of the Pervomaisk Interdistrict Medical and Social Examination Commission, local council members, and other officials.
The National Agency for Corruption Prevention found reasons why it did not need to verify the accuracy of the declaration submitted by Hennadiy Oleksandrovych Oborskyi, rector of the National University “Odessa Polytechnic,” who has been at the center of a scandal involving granting conscripts the opportunity to avoid mobilization during the war. Citing a list of laws and regulatory acts, the NACP has not investigated—and does not plan to investigate in 2026—Oborsky’s assets or the sources of his income.
Currently, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) are continuing a pre-trial investigation into former Deputy Prosecutor General Dmytro Verbytskyi, who was dismissed amid a scandal.
Meanwhile, the NACP has exposed Verbytsky’s attempt to conceal his high-end properties by getting a divorce.
