Didich will remain in custody in the Carthage case, with bail set at 15 million hryvnia
On September 21, the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court upheld the pretrial detention order for attorney Oleksandr Didych, who is a suspect in the “Carthage” case. He will remain in custody unless he posts bail in the amount of 15 million hryvnias.
The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court reviewed the appeal filed by Didych’s defense team and upheld the court’s decision dated September 8, 2026.
At that time, the High Anti-Corruption Court imposed a pretrial detention order on the lawyer, with the option to post bail in the amount of 15 million hryvnias. The pretrial detention order was set to remain in effect until November 2.
Thus, Didych will remain in pretrial detention until the full bail amount is paid.
Oleksandr Didych is one of the suspects in the “Carthage” operation conducted by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO). According to investigators, he was a trusted associate of Serhiy Kropiva, the head of one of the departments of the Office of the Prosecutor General, and was involved in the laundering of assets obtained through criminal means.
NABU and the SAP claim to have exposed a criminal organization whose members systematically received unlawful benefits in exchange for allowing fraudulent call centers to operate unimpeded. Investigators also claim that the participants in the scheme laundered the proceeds through property purchases and other transactions.
Didych is a suspect, and his guilt must be established by a court conviction.

The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court considered an appeal against the pretrial detention order issued for Serhiy Kropiva, the former deputy head of one of the departments of the Office of the Prosecutor General, who is a defendant in the “Carthage” case.
