The euro has reached a new all-time high
The National Bank of Ukraine set the euro exchange rate for August 21 at 52.13 UAH, which is 27 kopecks higher than the previous day.
This is a new all-time high for the NBU’s official exchange rate.
At the same time, the dollar continued to depreciate. Its exchange rate fell by 9 kopecks to 44.61 UAH.
In Ukraine, worn or damaged foreign banknotes can also be turned in for collection through banks.

Separately, the NBU governor noted that the supervisory board of Sens Bank currently lacks a quorum and is therefore not authorized to act. The regulator emphasizes the need to complete the board’s composition by appointing state representatives from the Cabinet of Ministers and the relevant Verkhovna Rada committee.
JSC “Sens Bank” is mentioned in the “Forest Gump” case files as one of the channels through which funds were transferred in connection with the payment of a 150 million UAH bail bond for former Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko. This was reported on August 19 by People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak, who disclosed details from the investigation files.
Danylo Getmantsev, chairman of the parliamentary committee on finance, tax, and customs policy, categorically denied any involvement in attempts to gain control over Sens Bank or in the new criminal proceedings initiated by NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO).
