Getmantsev denied any involvement in attempts to gain control of Sens Bank
Danylo Getmantsev, chairman of the parliamentary committee on finance, tax, and customs policy, categorically denied any involvement in attempts to gain control of Sens Bank or in the new criminal investigation being conducted by NABU and the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO).
“To dispel even the slightest doubt, I am ready to take a polygraph test and give testimony to NABU on this matter. I have already contacted NABU regarding this,” Getmantsev wrote.
According to him, he has reviewed the materials from the special operation released by NABU, specifically excerpts from conversations involving Iryna Mudra, Deputy Head of the Office of the President.
“I have never … discussed the issue of control over Sens Bank with either Mudra or anyone else—in any format, context, or language. As for Iryna—to be honest, I don’t even remember when I last met with her. My public stance on Sens Bank has long been known; it’s easy to verify on social media, and this case already serves as confirmation of my words,” the committee chairman emphasized.
On Wednesday morning, the NABU and the SAP announced the exposure of a criminal organization in which, according to law enforcement officials, members of parliament and high-ranking officials from the Office of the President may be involved.
Subsequently, the anti-corruption agencies released a teaser for a video about the special operation, which they named “Forrest Gump.” The clip, less than a minute long, contains excerpts from intercepted conversations, though it is difficult to determine the full context of the case from them.
Mykhailo Tkach, a journalist for “Ukrainska Pravda,” citing his own sources, reported that investigative actions were carried out at the residence of Iryna Mudra, deputy head of the Office of the President, and at the home of Vadym Stolar, an independent member of parliament. Stolar later confirmed that a search had taken place.
According to “Dzerkalo Tyzhnia,” officials from the Ministry of Justice and representatives of Sens Bank may also be involved in the case.
At the same time, “Interfax-Ukraine” notes that there is currently no independent confirmation or refutation of this information.
Danylo Getmantsev had previously criticized the National Bank of Ukraine, specifically arguing that the regulator did not exercise sufficient oversight over state-owned banks.
According to the lawmaker, NBU representatives were implicated in a previous high-profile NABU investigation known as “Midas.”
Getmantsev currently denies any involvement in the Sens Bank case and states he is ready to provide testimony to law enforcement and undergo a polygraph test.

Searches are being conducted at “Sens Bank” on August 19. This was reported by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
JSC “Sens Bank” is mentioned in the “Forest Gump” case files as one of the channels through which funds were transferred in connection with the payment of a 150 million hryvnia bail bond for former Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko. People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported this on August 19, revealing details from the investigation files.
