Goncharenko May Remain on the Rada's PACE Delegation After Being Expelled from the EU Faction
Oleksiy Goncharenko’s expulsion from the “European Solidarity” faction does not mean he automatically leaves the Verkhovna Rada’s permanent delegation to PACE.
The head of the Ukrainian delegation, Maria Mezentseva-Fedorenko, stated that Goncharenko remains a member of the delegation until the faction sends a formal letter regarding his expulsion.
According to her, the new composition of the delegations is usually approved in January before the start of the PACE session.
Mezentseva-Fedorenko also noted that if Goncharenko were to switch to another faction or parliamentary group, he could rejoin the delegation upon their recommendation.
