On Friday, May 29, Ukraine is expected to experience cool and wet weather with rain, thunderstorms, and strong gusts of wind.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
Forecasters predict that there will be almost no precipitation at night, but during the day, brief showers will occur in most regions of the country, except for the western regions.
Thunderstorms are possible in the southern part of Ukraine.
“The air mass will remain cold and humid and will move in from northern Europe,” forecasters noted.
A northwesterly wind is expected at a speed of 7–12 m/s.
At the same time, in the western regions, as well as in the Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, and Odesa regions, dangerous wind gusts of up to 15–20 m/s are forecast.
Because of this, a Level I hazard warning—yellow—has been issued.
“Such weather conditions may complicate the work of energy, construction, and utility companies, as well as disrupt traffic,” warned the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
Nighttime temperatures will range from +4 to +10 degrees, and daytime temperatures from +13 to +18 degrees.
No precipitation is forecast for Kyiv and the surrounding region at night, while short-lived rain and wind gusts of up to 15–18 m/s are expected during the day.
Daytime temperatures in the capital will reach +14…+16 degrees.
