Gang Rape in the Kyiv Region: Police Detain Three Men
In the Boryspil District of Kyiv Oblast, law enforcement officers detained three men suspected of gang-raping a 21-year-old woman.
The suspects have been notified of the charges against them and could face up to 12 years in prison.
According to law enforcement, the victim filed a report with the police regarding the crime. It was determined that while they were drinking alcohol together, one of the men asked the woman to have sex with him. She refused.
After that, the three men present—aged 18, 43, and 52—used physical force against the woman, threatened her with violence, and took turns committing sexual acts against her.
Police detained the suspects in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Under the procedural supervision of the Boryspil District Prosecutor’s Office, investigators informed the detainees that they were suspected of violating Part 3 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (rape committed by a group of persons).
The court ordered that all three suspects be held in pretrial detention without the right to bail. The attackers face up to 12 years in prison.

In the Khmelnytskyi region, a man opened fire on police officers during a document check. As a result of the attack, one law enforcement officer was killed and another was wounded.
In Kyiv’s Holosiivskyi district, an unknown assailant opened fire on a crowd. According to preliminary reports, one person was killed and others were injured.
