What will the weather be like in Ukraine in June: forecasters predict warm weather and thunderstorms
The first month of summer will bring mostly warm weather to Ukrainians. According to preliminary forecasts, June 2026 in Ukraine will feature sunny days, rising temperatures, and occasional thunderstorms, which will be most frequent in the middle of the month. At the same time, weather conditions will vary depending on the region of the country.
AccuWeather forecasts a comfortable first month of summer with temperatures ranging from +19°C in the west to +29°C in the south of the country—read on to find out what the weather will be like in June 2026 in Ukraine.
The northern region will see an unstable start to June: rain is expected on June 1 with temperatures around +21°C; on the 2nd, the skies will clear and it will be sunny, with temperatures reaching +22°C. From June 3 to 5, forecasters predict alternating sun and clouds with thunderstorms and rain, with daytime temperatures of +21–22°C and nighttime temperatures of +10–13°C.
The second ten-day period will be noticeably warmer: from June 10 to 18, mostly sunny weather is expected with temperatures of 24–28°C during the day and 12–17°C at night. The peak of the heat will be on June 18, reaching up to 28°C.
The third ten-day period will be the most stormy: from June 19 to 29, thunderstorms and downpours are expected almost daily, with temperatures of +22–27°C. The month will end on June 30 with a sunny, warm day reaching up to +27°C. The average daytime temperature for the month is +24°C, and the average nighttime temperature ranges from +10 to +17°C.
According to the forecast, central Ukraine in June 2026 will show a similar pattern to the north. The average high for June is +24°C, and the average low is +15°C. The warmest week will be from June 13 to 18, when sunny weather will keep temperatures at +26–28°C during the day, with nighttime lows of +15–17°C.
The first ten days will be dominated by changeable weather with thunderstorms at the beginning of the month. The third ten days will bring cloudiness and active thunderstorm activity—especially from June 22 to 27, when heavy downpours are possible at +22–24°C.
The west is traditionally cooler than the center and east, and June 2026 will be no exception. For the western part of the country, daytime temperatures in June will range from +19°C to +26°C, and nighttime temperatures from +7°C to +15°C. The average daily high for the month is +23°C, and the average nighttime low is +12°C.
The first ten days will be changeable: June 1–4 is expected to be mostly cloudy with some sunshine and temperatures of +19–21°C; June 5–10 will bring rain and thunderstorms with temperatures of +19–22°C.
The warmest and sunniest part of the month will be June 12–17: clear skies, up to +24–26°C during the day and +14°C at night. Starting June 18, the weather will deteriorate again: June 18–19—thunderstorms; June 20—rain and a drop in temperature to +21°C; from June 25 to 30—rain and thunderstorms with temperatures of +21–25°C.
The south will be the warmest region of the country in June 2026. According to the forecast, temperatures will range from +22°C to +29°C during the day and from +14°C to +21°C at night. The average daytime high will be +25°C, and the average nighttime low will be +17°C.
The beginning of the month will be quite active: thunderstorms are expected on June 3–5 with temperatures of +22–23°C. From June 6 to 14, comfortable weather will set in: mostly sunny, +22–26°C during the day and +14–19°C at night. From June 15 to 21—the warmest and at the same time the most thunderstorm-prone period: daytime temperatures will reach +27–29°C, nighttime temperatures—+18–21°C, with thunderstorms almost every day.
From June 22 to 30, it will be slightly cooler—24–28°C—but thunderstorms will not disappear and will continue through the end of the month. The swimming season on the Black Sea coast will be in full swing at this time.
Eastern Ukraine is forecast to have the hottest June: the region traditionally warms up 3–5 degrees more than the center and north. At the beginning of the month, daytime temperatures will hover around +21–24°C, with nighttime lows around +13°C.
The second ten-day period will bring a significant warming—up to +25–28°C, with peaks of up to +30°C and higher possible on some days. The third ten-day period will be both hot and stormy: heavy downpours and thunderstorms will alternate with sunny intervals at +24–28°C during the day.
Nights in the east at the end of June will be warm—from +17 to +20°C—signaling that full-fledged summer is just around the corner.
