What kind of weather will mark the start of summer in Ukraine?
On Monday, June 1, pleasant weather is expected in most regions of Ukraine, with temperatures ranging from 19°C to 23°C.
Cooler temperatures are forecast only in the northeast of the country, where thermometers will rise to +17...+19 degrees.
This was reported by well-known Ukrainian meteorologist Natalka Didenko on her social media page.
According to her forecast, weather conditions across the regions will vary slightly on the first day of summer.
“Precipitation is expected in the western and eastern regions of Ukraine, with thunderstorms in some places. The rest of the country will see sunshine,” she noted.
The wind on this day is expected to be moderate, with a predominantly northerly direction.
In the Ukrainian capital, summer will also begin with pleasant weather changes. The weather in Kyiv on June 1 will delight residents and visitors with temperatures reaching +20 degrees and a long period of sunshine.
At the same time, experts provided a detailed explanation of the weather for the entire summer of 2026 and debunked popular myths.
Vira Balabukh, head of the Department of Applied Meteorology and Climatology, commented on the situation regarding the large-scale climate phenomenon El Niño, which is being actively discussed on social media.
According to her, this process is developing far beyond Ukraine’s borders, so ordinary citizens should not focus on it and expect abnormal heat in the near future.
