In 2026, Spain will provide Ukraine with 100 VAMTAC armored vehicles and a shipment of artillery ammunition.

Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles announced this during a visit to Kyiv and a meeting with her Ukrainian counterpart.
Deliveries of the vehicles and 155-mm ammunition will begin as early as May. The armored vehicles are intended, in particular, for the needs of border guards.
Robles noted that this assistance demonstrates Spain’s support for Ukraine and its commitment to the principles of freedom and security.
She also reported that the number of Ukrainian military personnel who have undergone training in Spain will soon exceed 9,000.
