Who will take the seats in the Rada vacated by the MPs who were appointed ministers?

Bogdan Morklyanik and Viktoria Reznikova may become the new members of parliament from the “Servant of the People” party’s electoral list, replacing Denis Maslov and Vitaliy Bezgin, who have moved to work at the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

According to official data from the Central Election Commission, in the 2019 snap parliamentary elections, Morklyanik and Reznikova were ranked 163rd and 165th, respectively, on the party list. Their names were moved up on the list due to a series of prior changes and withdrawals:

  • In April 2026, Olena Kyivets (No. 161) had already received her parliamentary seat.

  • Oleksandra Karmaza (No. 162) had officially withdrawn her candidacy back in October 2019.

  • Yuriy Balanyuk (No. 164) was removed from the registration list at the party’s own initiative in July 2019.

What is known about the potential members of parliament:

Bohdan Morklyanyk—Doctor of Technical Sciences, born on May 21, 1975. At the time of the election, he headed the state organization “National Intellectual Property Office”; he later assumed the position of deputy head of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance (NAZYAO). Since March 2022, he has been serving in the military under mobilization.

Viktoria Reznikova — Doctor of Law, born on September 24, 1978. In 2019, she served as head of the Department of Commercial Law at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. She currently heads the Department of Economic Law and Economic Jurisprudence at the university’s Educational and Research Institute of Law.
