Zelenskyy met with Sandu on Moldova's Independence Day

According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine and Moldova are interested in deepening their cooperation and working together on issues of importance to both countries. “Today in Chisinau. An important meeting with Maia Sandu. We are working to ensure more joint opportunities in security, energy, and infrastructure,” the president noted.
He emphasized that strengthening cooperation between Kyiv and Chisinau is particularly important right now. This involves not only political contacts but also practical joint projects and coordination in areas that directly affect the security of both countries. Zelenskyy also mentioned Maia Sandu’s visit to Ukraine on August 24. The President of Moldova arrived in Kyiv on Ukraine’s Independence Day and took part in the holiday celebrations. “Today, Ukraine stands with Moldova on its Independence Day. Friends must stand shoulder to shoulder,” Zelenskyy said.
