The Kyiv Commercial Court has ordered Russia to pay 26.24 million hryvnias to the Odessa-based company "Katwind Energy" as compensation for lost profits resulting from the full-scale war.
The company sought compensation of 86.69 million hryvnias, claiming that due to the Russian invasion, it lost the opportunity to work on the construction of the “Sivash” wind farm in the Kherson region and the “Yuzhne” wind farm in the Odesa region.
According to the case materials, in 2021–2022, the company provided construction site management services for these projects.
Following a forensic economic analysis, experts determined that the confirmed amount of lost profits was 26.24 million UAH, not over 85 million UAH as claimed by the plaintiff.
Separately, the company sought compensation for three Renault Duster vehicles worth 1.51 million UAH, which, according to the company, remained in the occupied territory. However, the court denied this claim due to a lack of sufficient evidence.
