Lindsey Graham called on the U.S. to cooperate with Ukraine on drones
U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham stated that Washington should expand its cooperation with Ukraine in the field of drone technology, calling the rejection of such a partnership a major mistake.
He made this statement during a briefing in Kyiv.
According to Graham, he visited an underground drone manufacturing facility in Ukraine and saw for himself that Ukrainian technology is among the most advanced in the world.
The senator emphasized that a partnership in the field of drones would be mutually beneficial, as Ukraine gains valuable combat experience that could help strengthen U.S. defense capabilities. He also noted that it is precisely innovation and the development of unmanned systems that have enabled the Ukrainian military to effectively counter a numerically superior enemy.
As a reminder, Trump stated that the U.S. may allow Ukraine to manufacture missiles for the Patriot system.
The idea of granting Ukraine a license to produce interceptor missiles for the Patriot air defense systems poses significant risks to the U.S. and offers no practical benefit.
