The Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Ukrainian Ambassador Olesia Ilashchuk over the incident involving the explosion of a drone near the compressor station of the Trans-Balkan Gas Pipeline.
According to Bulgarian Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova, the meeting is scheduled to take place on Monday, August 10, after the Ukrainian diplomat returns to the country.

On the morning of August 8 in Bulgaria, a drone that had entered the country’s airspace from the north exploded near the border with Romania. According to Deutsche Welle, the incident occurred in a sunflower field 100 meters from the border.
The Bulgarian Ministry of Defense stated that the drone, which exploded near a compressor station of the Trans-Balkan gas pipeline, was likely of Ukrainian manufacture.
