The Foreign Ministry reached out to French journalists regarding Yulia Mendel's statements
The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on the French media community to approach statements made by former presidential spokesperson Yulia Mendel with caution and a critical eye. The ministry emphasized that people should not allow themselves to be misled by her remarks.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that information concerning Ukraine should be verified through official sources and that such statements should be treated with due caution.
The Foreign Ministry calls on the media to remain vigilant
It noted that Mendel left the Ukrainian president’s team many years ago.
“Since then, she has gained a dubious reputation, repeatedly making manipulative statements that systematically echo the narratives of Russian propaganda,” said the Foreign Ministry spokesperson.
In light of Mendel’s recent statements in the French media, Tykhyi urged journalists to exercise the utmost vigilance.
“Do not be misled by statements that in no way reflect either the actual situation in Ukraine or the position of the Office of the President of Ukraine. She cannot be considered a reliable source—she appears rather to be a new voice intended to take up the baton from Ksenia Fedorova (the former head of RT France, who was deported from France — Ed.), against whom an expulsion order was quite justifiably issued,” said the Foreign Ministry spokesperson.

The Foreign Ministry responded to the detention in Poland of a co-owner of CEO Club Ukraine.
On the evening of August 1, in the town of Kozhukhiv (Lubusz Voivodeship), three Ukrainian citizens—37-year-old Volodymyr, 32-year-old Vasyl, and 28-year-old Adelina—were attacked. The incident took place on the private grounds of the hostel where the victims were staying.
In the Polish city of Gdynia, law enforcement officers detained a 76-year-old Polish citizen who brutally attacked a 40-year-old Ukrainian woman. According to the investigation, the man beat the woman with a stick, after which he was detained by criminal investigators from the local police department.
In Wrocław, a Ukrainian couple was brutally beaten because of their accent.
