Four Russian militants who staged the execution of a married couple have been identified in the Kharkiv region

Law enforcement officials have identified four natives of the Luhansk region who, during the occupation of the village of Morozivka in the Kharkiv region, robbed an elderly couple, abducted them, and threatened to shoot them.

In July 2022, soldiers from the Russian Federation’s 202nd Rifle Regiment of the Mobilization Reserve broke into the couple’s yard and searched their home. They took a computer and a cell phone, then forced the couple into a minibus, telling them they would never return home.

The couple was taken to the village council building, where they were intimidated with the threat of being held in the basement of the police station in Balakliya, which Russian troops were using as a torture chamber.

Later, the victims were taken to the outskirts of the village. The militants ordered them to get out of the vehicle and simulated a firing squad, demanding that they submit to the occupying authorities.

Four Russian servicemen were notified in absentia of their status as suspects in the cruel treatment of the civilian population and other violations of the laws and customs of war, committed by a group of individuals acting in concert. They are currently wanted.
