Applications for the "SvitloDom" program are now being accepted in the Kharkiv region
Starting today, the Kharkiv region has begun accepting applications from apartment buildings under the "SvitloDom" program, which provides compensation for equipment needed to keep utility systems running during potential blackouts.
This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
According to her, homeowners’ associations, housing and service cooperatives, as well as apartment building managers, are eligible to participate in the program.
“Homeowners’ associations, housing and service cooperatives, as well as managers of apartment buildings can apply on the ‘SvitloDom’ website online via ‘Diyu’ and receive assistance for autonomous power supply during prolonged outages,” she noted.
The program applies to buildings in Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region, with the exception of areas where hostilities are ongoing or which are under occupation.
The government provides funding ranging from 100,000 to 300,000 hryvnias for the purchase of equipment to ensure the operation of building life support systems. The amount of compensation depends on the number of building entrances and the number of floors.
To participate in the program, you must open a special designated-use account at Oschadbank or another bank participating in the program. Applications are submitted online.
In total, according to government data, as of January 30, more than 1,330 apartment buildings in Kyiv and the Kyiv region have already received funding totaling over 335 million hryvnias under this program.
As a reminder, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has expanded the list of documents that representatives of co-owners of apartment buildings can submit to receive assistance under the “SvitloDIM” program.
Additionally, the “SvitloDIM” program has allocated over 33 million UAH for the energy independence of high-rise buildings.
The government has approved the first applications for autonomous power supply under the “SvitloDIM” program.
Under the “SvitloDIM” program, residents of Kyiv and the Kyiv region submitted 864 applications to receive autonomous power sources for their apartment buildings. However, 475 applications were rejected due to errors in the documents, inaccuracies, or missing certificates.
